 Calling All Doigs, Doiges, Doaks… any and all of the Dog Clan…

   Plan on joining your brothers and sisters in August 2010, in the beautiful town of Perth, Ontario, Canada for the first Doig Gathering to be held outside of the United Kingdom!

 Why Perth?   Why not, say, Ottawa… Kingston... Montreal... Toronto…?
Well, besides having been declared the “Prettiest Town in Ontario”
(by TV Ontario), and having been a winner of the Prince of Wales Award
for Architectural Heritage - a distinction it shares with such
celebrated beauty spots as La Ville de Quebec and Victoria B.C. –
Perth shares the name of, and was named after, Perth, Kinross,
Scotland, the ancestral home area of the Doigs.   And add to that the
fact that it lies midway between Ottawa and Kingston (~55 miles/90 km
away), and between Montreal and Toronto (200 miles/300 km), with
Quebec City to the east and Niagara Falls to the west just a bit
further on.

 Does somebody need more convincing?
